The classic Valentine project, getting creative with building a “mailbox” to collect all your cards from classmates. But this year, things had to be done a bit earlier due to the pandemic.
“A lot of things look different this year, but I give our teachers a lot of credit for finding ways to celebrate the fun traditions,” said Principal Amy Irwin.
Mrs. Standhart had her kindergarten students bring their valentines and boxes into class early so they could be isolated before they were shared. Students and their families worked together at home to make the boxes. They used all types of materials to put them together. Some of the designs included a skidsteer, a baby Yoda, and a postal mailbox. Here are some pictures to enjoy!
