During Mrs. Burgett’s living environment class, students were tasked with transcribing and translating some mutated snowmen genes to determine the resulting traits. She then took the class outside to build mutated snowmen.
Possible mutations included: green skin, tusks, one leg, only one snowball high, three eyes and hair. “More than anything I think students liked getting outside,” said Mrs. Burgett. “The weather was cold, but their smiles and laughing warmed the air.”
