All Middleburgh Central School students can continue to enjoy school meals at no cost throughout the month of September.
For the past two years, the federal government has paid for all students to eat for free regardless of family income. That provision ended with the start of the 2022-23 school year. However, New York state has allowed the district to continue to feed any student without charge throughout the month of September.
The district leadership team is working diligently to determine if federal stimulus funds or other resources can be used to continue this benefit beyond Sept. 30. If that becomes the case, the district will let families know as soon as possible.
