Odyssey of the Mind is a fun program that challenges students in grades K-12 to solve problems and work cooperatively. Whether you are a student who wants to participate or an adult who would like to coach, please join us for a virtual information session, Wednesday, October 28 at 7:00PM.
- Zoom Meeting ID: 943 9833 3955
- Passcode: odyssey
If you can’t make the meeting but are interested, reach out to Odyssey of the Mind Coordinator, Josh Bornt, joshua.bornt@middleburghcsd.org.
“Middleburgh has a long tradition of being part of this amazing, creative problem-solving, team building program. This year things are a bit different but as Odyssey of the Mind is all about thinking outside the box, they’ve come up with some very creative ways to allow the season to move forward. New York State Odyssey of the Mind Regional and State competitions will be held virtually. This decision will allow us to plan accordingly instead of waiting to see if and how we would compete based on what the world looks like in March. Here’s where you come in. We need coaches. With so many things limited for our kids these last few months it would be great to get as many kids as possible involved. The importance of the creative problem-solving skills kids learn by being part of a team has never been more apparent. Odyssey of the Mind can’t happen in Middleburgh without the support of faculty, staff, and parents stepping up to help by coaching a team.” – Josh Bornt
