Six students from Middleburgh Elementary School were selected as honorees for the Physical Education Student Leader Award. This award is given for outstanding leadership and excellence in Physical Education. These students have performed well in the areas of fitness, citizenship and leadership. All schools in the Capital Zone of the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance have been invited to select honorees at the elementary and middle school level.
There was an awards ceremony held at Hudson Valley Community College, McDonough Sports Complex on May 7. The MCS students were among roughly 650 students from 109 schools.
