Data released by the New York State Education Department shows that Middleburgh Central Schools not only have the top graduation rate in Schoharie County, but one of the top graduation rates of any school in the Capital Region.
The data was released Thursday and can be found here. Middleburgh’s graduation rate for the Class of 2019 was 94.6%, up 2.7% from 2018, and 14% from 2017. That mark was tops in Schoharie County and seventh overall among Capital Region school districts.
“This continued improvement is a testament to the hard work being done every day by our students, staff, and administrators,” said Superintendent of Schools Brian P. Dunn. “The growth we have seen as a district in the past few years is just the beginning. We have laid a solid foundation for the future here in Middleburgh, one where all our Knights will succeed.”
The Capital Region graduation rate rose from 84.3% in 2018 to 85.2% in 2019. The state graduation average went up from 82.6% in 2018 to 83.4% in 2019.
