Middleburgh Central Schools is happy to welcome Francis Rielly, who has taken over the role of the district’s business administrator, a position Terry Gillooley held for nine years. Mr. Rielly has fond childhood memories of Middleburgh, and says he’s excited for this opportunity because the school district has a reputation as a great place to work.
“Mr. Rielly is an outstanding addition to the MCS team,” said Superintendent of Schools, Brian Dunn. “He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge that will undoubtedly help us to continue to meet the needs of the staff, students, and families.”
Mr. Rielly initially started his career in education as an elementary teacher in the Schenectady City School District. After 12 years as a teacher, he transitioned into administration as an Assistant School Business Administrator in Schenectady. Since then, he’s held business official positions in New Lebanon CSD and Voorheesville CSD.
“I have been coming to Schoharie County and Middleburgh since I was a young boy to fish at Mallet Pond as well as the Schoharie Creek. I still fish both spots but not nearly as often as I’d like to,” he said. Mr. Rielly enjoys staying active. In the past three years, he and his wife have taken up golf and spend a lot of time playing in the summer.
