Middleburgh remembers the floods from Hurricane Irene in 2011 and the toll it took on our school. In our time of need, many other schools and communities donated school supplies to us. Now it’s time to return the kindness that was shown to us and help another school in need following a devastating hurricane.
Hurricane Harvey struck the Houston area of Texas especially hard in August, dropping historic amounts of rain. MCS has adopted Tinsley Elementary School, part of the Houston Independent School District.
Those students and faculty members are now counting on us.
Between now and November 1st, collection boxes will be placed in Elementary and High School classrooms for donations. The principal of Tinsley Elementary School, Chris Walker, has sent along a list of supplies the school and students need to help them rebuild after the hurricane.
