Dear MCS families,
We are ready for a new year. Middleburgh Elementary and High School will be open for in-person learning tomorrow, January 4. Remote learning remains an option too. Anyone who is sick, please stay home.
We recognize the COVID-19 infection rate has increased over the holiday break, but still feel strongly that schools are the best place for students. All available data indicates that the rate of virus transmission in schools is low. The last four months, working closely with our public health partners and MCS families, we have demonstrated that we can safely provide in-person instruction. Thank you for your cooperation.
Don’t forget to fill out the daily health attestation form for each child before arriving on campus. Please be completely honest when answering the questions because it is a crucial part of how we can continue to provide a healthy environment for our students, faculty and staff.
I also want to remind you, our school-based healthcare practitioners have the ability to do COVID-19 testing for students enrolled in Bassett’s health program. You can call 518-827-3793 to schedule an appointment.
Wishing you a healthy new year,
Brian Dunn
Superintendent of Schools
