Heat Wave Forces Graduation Venue Change

Graduation for the Class of 2024 will take place as scheduled on Friday, June 21. However, due to forecasted temperatures in the 90s next week, it will be unsafe to hold the ceremony as we had planned in the gymnasium. Instead, the event will be held in the air-conditioned auditorium.

Because of this change, we must return to a seat ticketing system. Each graduate will be entitled to reserve 10 tickets through a link that will be shared through ParentSquare on Monday, June 17, at 10 a.m. If seats remain after initial orders are placed, MCS will offer graduates additional tickets until we fill the 500-seat auditorium. 

Important reservation information:

  • The graduate’s first and last name will be required when placing the order. 
  • Only one person should reserve the tickets in the graduate’s name, so double orders do not occur. Any double orders will be canceled. 
  • Please only order the tickets you need so we can offer any remaining tickets to others. 
  • If avoidable, please do not leave open seats in a row. We will need every available seat. 
  • After you reserve seats, please print or have your tickets available on your devices when you arrive. 

Again, if we have additional tickets after the initial ticketing is complete we will notify families that more seats are available.
