Dear MCS Families,
Before the Thanksgiving break, we sent a survey about how our students access the internet while at home. Having a greater understanding of the devices and internet service used to complete learning activities away from school will greatly help educators better serve students and families. In order to accomplish this, we are asking parents or guardians of students in Kindergarten through grade 12 to complete a Digital Equity Survey by Wednesday, December 8.
To take the quick nine question survey from the state education department, please use a web browser to log into your SchoolTool account. (Please note that the form is not available in the SchoolTool app, only through a web browser.)
Use the following instructions for each child:
- Login to SchoolTool using a web browser.
- Click the icon or child’s name to view their student record.
- On the right side of the main screen, click on the User Defined tab.
- Click on the plus (+) Add button next to NYS Digital Access Survey.
- Choose an answer from the dropdown for each of the questions.
- Click the green Save button.
- Click Back to return to the My Home student list.
- Repeat the above steps to enter survey answers for each student.
To help answer questions you might have about the survey, please refer to this guide we created for you.
