Middleburgh Central School District received a $1,000 donation from Stewart’s Shops. The money will be used to support our girls volleyball program. The district applied for a Stewart’s Community Grant with the hopes of accessing financial resources for a new outdoor volleyball court.
These funds will help offset the costs for the sitework and installation. “This will benefit all of our students and especially help grow our girls volleyball program,” said Superintendent Brian Dunn. “We are very grateful to the folks at Stewart’s Shops for their generous donation.”
This year, the Stewart’s Holiday Match Program donated over $1.88 million to worthy causes like ours. Half of that comes from customer contributions that the shop takes in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The annual program has allocated more than $32 million since 1986. All Stewart’s Holiday Match funds are to be used for local children under 18 years of age. Here’s a link to learn more about the contribution program.
