It’s not the traditional Easter pastime the Middleburgh community is used to. You won’t have to hunt for eggs, or even get out of your cars, but you’ll still get treats!
The MCS SADD Chapter and Middleburgh Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary are co-sponsoring a community “Drive Through Easter Egg Hunt” for children through fifth grade. This will take place Saturday, March 27 from 10AM-12PM, at the driveway loop at the elementary school. Families are asked to stay in their vehicles and goodie bags will be handed out to each child through their windows. The Easter Bunny will be there waving as cars go by, but please don’t get out for a photo.
In addition to the drive through, another festive event is being offered, a Community Spring Scavenger Hunt. How it will work is, there will be a list of six GPS coordinates and clues, once all six destinations have been found, people can bring the answers to the elementary school by noon to win a prize. You can find the list of coordinates and clues on our Facebook page.
