As work continues on the $15 million capital project for Middleburgh School District, it is important for us to deliver promised results on schedule and budget. The first phase is near completion and we want to show you the progress.
The new look and feel of the spacious media center is bright, eye catching, and modern. There are areas carved out for collaborative, project-based learning. The cloud ceilings are ideal for quiet spaces and help to inspire creativity. Another cool feature, a window in the library that connects to the IT room where any student can bring their computer for one-on-one technical assistance.
The boy’s and girl’s locker rooms and bathrooms are complete. There have been updates to the nurse’s office for more privacy and comfort.
In the interest of safety, we installed new light poles in the front and back of the high school. The parking lot and sidewalks of both schools are freshly paved.
Superintendent Brian Dunn said, “We are so pleased with all of the many improvements so far. Our thanks to our taxpayers for supporting these positive changes that ensure a better and more satisfying learning experience for all of our students.”
The renovations have been carefully planned as to not cause any disruption during school hours. This capital investment for the elementary and high school are on track to be completed by the end of summer.
