Middleburgh School District and the Schoharie River Center are coming together to implement a free after school program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Space is limited to 40 students and strict COVID-19 precautions will be maintained.
Please join us for a Zoom information session tonight, January 7 at 6:00PM.
The Middleburgh Advantage After School Program starts Tuesday, January 19 and will take place at the Elementary School during the school year on Monday-Friday from 2:45-6:00. Remote students are welcome to attend, but must have a ride to the school. Transportation home will be available for all who take part.
The after school program will focus on integrating academic learning with community engagement. Students will participate in a variety of age appropriate activities that challenge them intellectually; focusing on literacy, science, problem solving, critical and analytical thinking, creative expression, communication, and healthy physical and socio-emotional development.
The Middleburgh Advantage After School Program is made possible by a five year grant from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. MCS is starting with students in K-6, but plans to expand the program to grades 7-12 in the spring.
To reserve a spot, families must preregister using this printer-friendly form.
