Here’s a special message from the Middleburgh Jr/Sr High School “Manufacturing” class, a technology class that annual creates a company and markets a product.
Did you know this company creates a Board of Directors in five departments? They are: Manufacturing, Marketing, Accounting, Design and Development and Human Resources.
Students market, research and prototype a woodworking product to sell to the community. This year, students are building wooden American flags. Thus far, the student company sold 1,000 shares of stock in its company with the hope of selling 75 American flags in five different configurations.
“The class is a great way for the students to understand the process an entrepreneur would go through when developing a company,” teacher Scott Gray said in an email.
Dear friends of the MCS Technology Department and shareholders of Knight Enterprises:
We hope this email finds you safe and healthy.
As you are well aware, Governor Cuomo has closed all NYS schools until April 29 due to Covid-19 pandemic. There is also a potential that schools could be closed further.
With that being said, Knight Enterprises Inc. is currently ” on pause” with manufacturing until further notice. We will begin production of our custom American flags when we resume classes.
Currently, our stock price is at 0.707 cents. Each 5 share certificate is worth $3.53. We currently have 15 flags ready for current orders and materials to make at least another 10 flags. We also have additional orders pending for when classes resume.
We will continue to hold your stock if you would like for when manufacturing resumes, or you have the option of immediate payout. We are offering a payout now or you can hold your certificate until further notice.
Please email Katie Fancher, director of accounting, Knights Enterprises Inc., if you would like to redeem your stock at this time at katie.fancher@middleburghcsd.org
We hope you understand our position during this unprecedented time.
Please stay safe and healthy!
Sincerely,
Chris Miller, general manager
