Scholar-Athletes Recognized by NYSPHSAA and WAC

Congratulations schoar-athletes fall seasonMCS scholar-athletes are being recognized by the New York NYSPHSAA Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for maintaining exceptional marks in academics while participating in team sports.

NYSPHSAA team recognition denotes that the team’s average GPA for 75% or more of the roster is greater than or equal to 90. Each individual team member with a 90 or greater GPA is named an Individual Scholar-Athlete. Twenty-nine out of 50 MCS scholar-athletes earned that distinction for their work during the fall season.

The WAC recognition is bestowed on varsity athletes who maintained honor roll status (85% or higher GPA) during the fall season. Forty-six out of 50 MCS scholar-athletes earned that distinction.
