Residents interested in being a candidate for a seat on the
Middleburgh Central School District Board of Education may
obtain nominating petition forms from the District Clerk during
regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through
by downloading them online (PDF).
Petitions must bear the signature of at least 25 qualified
voters and be received by the District Clerk by 5 p.m. on
Monday, April 17, 2017 in the District Office 291 Main Street,
Middleburgh, NY 12122.
Candidates are also requested to fill out the BOE Candidate
Profile Form so that profiles of all those running can be shared
with the wider community.
There will be one open seat for a term of three years to be
filled in the May 16, 2017 election. This position is currently
held by Ernest W. Kuehl, Jr., whose term will expire June 30,
Voting on Board of Education candidates, propositions and the
district’s 2017-18 school budget will be held on Tuesday, May
