Middleburgh's 6th Grade ELA
The entire 6th grade enjoyed an interesting, informative
question and answer session with Mrs. Jhansi, who is from
India. Mrs. Jhansi wore a traditional sari and bindi. Students
learned that saris are worn by women for many different
festivals and occasions in India; and that the bindi (round
dot) is placed adjacent to the eyebrows and traditionally is
believed to have medicinal value.
Students are currently learning about point of view in
connection with various cultures, in ELA. We consider
ourselves fortunate to have had Mrs. Jhansi come in and speak
with the class about her culture and point of view related to
living in the United States versus India. Students and
teachers are still having conversations about this educational
visit. Thank you, Mrs. Jhansi!
Principal Davidson Tackles Ice Bucket Challenge

Elementary Students Head Back-to-School
Teachers and staff welcomed students back-to-school on
Thursday, Sept. 4.

Please do not park in front of
the Elementary Building during
morning drop-off. Buses
need to be able to access the
front entrance in order to keep
our students safe. Thank
you for your help and support.
MES Go Green Day
The primary goal of the Middleburgh Elementary School PTO
(MESPTO) is to maximize and enrich our children’s
education. We support our students, teachers, parents
and community, provide resources and money for funding when
needed, help organize and create many family
activities throughout the school year, and much more.
